That goddamn charcoal bleeper at his side started screaming again, in case Zane didn’t hear it the first ten times. The lifeless cry of the device kept pounding to a perfect and paced rhythm... that is, until Zane dropped his hand and pressed the red SLEEP button which lay right next to the black OFF button... he was tempted to press the black button as well, but Deamos would kill him if he did that. Pissing off your boss was never a good idea, especially in this ‘industry’; a lesson Zane learnt years ago and one he should pass on to the youngster who was now assigned to his team.
